Because a lot of times they stereotype how people should look like, and it gets on my nerves all the time when my girl friends will look at me and say "Omg! I wish I had your body," and I would always give them a droll look and ask them "Why?" Most of their answers are always the same, "You've got boobs and a butt! Look at me I've got no curves!" Then I have my girl friends who always push the weight issue all the time, now my friends are the healthy, they exercise, they're active, and heck they barely even eat meat because they are so crazed out on their own weight. Yet, they always complain that they are so fat all the time, when they aren't. Well I was sitting at home with all my girl friends at the time and we sat back to watch a TV series called "How To Look Good Naked" marathon, I pretty much set them up for this show. The reason why I made them all watch the show was because all the women on this show were of different shapes, sizes, and height, whether they were athletically slim or curvy, these women all have the same fears my girl friends have. Show after show my girl friends got more hooked on to it and after we were done, I asked them openly about what they felt. Of course everyone had different opinions on what they felt about the show, but they all agreed that they liked the fact that it wasn't stereotyping any type of women to be a certain size or weight. I've posted about it before that women shouldn't be stereotyped into looking like something they aren't, a lot of media attention is focused on being slim and fabulous, but then others are saying being plus sized is the "real" way to go. When all of that is such bull crap, when I look in the mirror I know some times I feel like I'm ugly when I know I'm not, I've heard people say to me I'm "fat" or "should tone down on boxing" because of my muscles. Ladies and gentlemen the way you perceive yourself will always make you your own worse critic, no one else is a critic to YOUR body, know that whether you be rocking your blue jeans, sweats, sneaks, heels, flannel shirts, white tees, or your messy do. Don't feed upon the trash that the media shows everyday on the ever changing whats beautiful and whats trashy and nasty and whatever. You're beautiful, just like in Maya Angelou's poem:

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies
I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size
But when I start to tell them
They think I'm telling lies.
I say,
It's in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Every lady on the street, to the women rocking and singing to their own beat, your the pure name and meaning of beauty. Now I have nothing against Miley Cyrus and her growing up, and taking on more mature roles, but I find that she is a little too young to be on that show nevertheless the movie. I really hated wearing tight fighting clothes that would show off my curves because I couldn't really move freely in it, and most of all instead of cheer leading and being in the fashion club, I was the girl in the anime club, martial arts club, and soccer club. Yea a lot of my friends back then were guys who give me loads of bull for being in clubs only meant for men, I mean please soccer, anime, and martial arts aren't only for men, high school immaturity best days of my life (yea right). Anyways the title is actually a joke that my fiancee always tells me, it's a personal joke we share, you see he's a Taekwondo black belt and me I'm a Muay Thai Boxer. We both were friends high school before we started dating, but back in high school I remember all the time when he'd try to literally "sweep" me off my feet and I'd come back and Teh Tud (means roundhouse kick in English) his ass for trying to sweep me. But anyways, a couple days ago I was talking to him on skype, and we started reminiscing about how we were so "loving" to each other in high school.
It was fun to think about those days, but then a question popped up into my head, that I wanted to ask:

Me: "Hey babe, I got a question."
Him: "What is it?"
Me: "What did you think of me when you found out I did Muay Thai? I mean a lot of my guy friends told me I was so unladylike for doing it, what was your feelings towards it?"
Him: "Well I feel a girl needs to protect herself whether it be martial arts or even that lousy pepper spray crap, but I never thought you were unladylike, I found it more attractive that you could probably kick my ass."
Me: "Ahahah you sound like a masochist."
Him: "Bebe when I found out you did Muay Thai, it didn't make me think less of you, in fact I thought more highly of you because you could protect yourself and stand your ground."

So ladies and gentlemen what do you believe, is it ever unladylike for a girl to learn martial arts? Tell me what you think.
XD Posted videos

my amvs are posted yay!
Untitled

October 7, 2009 the time is 2:55 a.m., I've awoken to the same time again for the past week, always 5 mins before 3:00 a.m. the bewitching hour. Uneven footsteps make their way down my hallway, but the footsteps belong to no one but the creaking of this house, I've begun to keep a journal of my late night awakenings for I fear my days of living are numbered. The nights have begun to become colder, and the hallucinations are becoming more and more vivid and terrifying, no one can help me .... the demon is coming for me. I hear the infernal scratching and the low moans of it creeping into my room and crawling into bed with me. It comes again 3:00, the three rings of the grandfather clock will sound off in the distance, and then it will come up the stairs slowly climbing it's way up. And it will come to me, and scream.....
Real Women

I believe that beauty is within every woman, no matter what shape, size, skin, height, and weight. I've seen a reality TV show like "More To Love" about a man saying that plus sized women are "real women," when that's not true. I mean what about women who are thin because they just can't gain weight no matter how much they eat, or women who work out to keep themselves in shape, aren't they real women too?

Real women are everywhere no matter where you go or look, no one should be stereotyping what a "real woman" should look like. His reasoning was because she wouldn't be able to clean, cook, or do the laundry for him like she used to if she took the job offer and it would make him look bad because she made more money then him. They argued, of course, and then she came to ask some of our guy friends for advice, and our guy friends made it worse because they don't apparently agree with women making more money then them. So now flash forward to this week, Miranda called me up and asked if I wanted to help her move some of her stuff around in her apartment, so I said 'yea of course I'll help' to her. As I drove down her street towards her apartment that she shared with her boyfriend, I cringed at what I might do to her boyfriend for being so ridiculous and stupid. As I pulled up the driveway I noticed her boyfriend's white Toyota Celica sitting in front of their apartment, I seriously wanted to key his car, but I thought against it and started heading up the stairs. I was about halfway up the stairs when I saw Miranda's boyfriend run out from the apartment and cursing really loud for everyone in the neighborhood to hear. I then saw Miranda come out waving goodbye to her boyfriend and saying, "Good luck with your life, and thanks for giving me MY car back that I bought you."

I was in shock at what happened at the moment so I didn't even realize Miranda had seen me at her stairway and was coaxing me to come inside her apartment. As we both went inside and sat down she told me that she was better off without him, and that she can't be happy with a guy who won't respect what she wants to do, because he'd rather be selfish. She explained to me that she tried working it out with him but the argument was always the same, he didn't want her to pursue her career into management and so she said goodbye to him. And the fiasco I saw was him trying to get "his" car back from her, which apparently didn't turn out the way he had planned.

So as we sat there popping open some coronas and eating chips and dip, we started talking about what she plans to do now and some other things, leaving her ex-boyfriend to the past and giving her new future a toast to victory.

Words, Sentences, Actions

In the three year relationship I've been in I've had the occasional fights over serious or stupid things, every couple has gone through it. My SO knows me too well when we come to fights that I usually don't back down, and neither does he but sometimes there were these certain things that he'd do that would make the fight escalate to a wild fire, and no doubt I probably did things to him that made him want to smash things and throw my stuff out the window (yea the video of Enrique Inglesias and Ciara "Taking Back My Love" is so our video when it comes to fighting). But anyways my SO and I now think back on our early fights and laugh at it because we barely fight and if we do we know how to stop it before it goes to oblivion and chaos. So I was sitting with some friends of mine, and I brought this question up, "Is there any actions, sentences, or words that just make you get even angrier at your SO when you're fighting with each other?" And funny enough everyone said "HECK YEA!" So I made a list of the words and actions my friends said tick them off especially in a fight, I've also included my own as well, I wrote every word verbatim from my friends for this:

1. "Well I disagree with your disagreement." My guy friend let's call him "Max" told me this one. Him and his girlfriend had gotten into an argument about her hanging out really late with some of her guy friends, and not like football parties or anything more like she'd sit in their lap and dance on them kinda thing. During the fight when he was trying to get his point across as calmly as he could she said "Well sorry to say but I disagree with your disagreement." In his POV, when she said that to him he felt like she wasn't trying to listen to his reasons, and saying that line to him made him blow up. And this came straight from his mouth, "I would never say that to anyone, in all honesty it sounds disrespectful, other people like you might have a different view about that saying, but in my POV if you say that to me or another person who feels the same way I do, prepare for hell."

2. "Whatever." A girlfriend of mine, let's call her "Sarah" hates when her SO and her will fight and when he finally let's her say what she needs to point out, she hates it when he just says "Whatever," to her so flatly and turn the cold shoulder. She had gotten into a fight with him over housework and that he was not doing anything to help keep their apartment clean, they fought and made angry gestures until finally when her boyfriend knew that she had a really good point about what the argument, he looks at her coldly and says, "Whatever."
Sarah: "Oh lord, that word gets me pissed off every time, I mean who doesn't get mad when someone says that! Like whenever he says that word, it makes me feel like he wasn't even listening to a word I said, and then here we go again on the damn merry-go-round."

3. Silence. Okay this one's mine, back about 1 year ago my boyfriend and I were having some problems and whenever I'd try to state my opinion he'd just look the other way and stay silent, he wouldn't say a word all he'd do was just either give me a cold stare, play a computer game, or go to bed. I mean WTF?! Seriously he knows it ticks me off when he doesn't at least say one thing, it drives me crazy when he just stares at me like an idiot when there's a point to my argument. Either way he knows not to do it anymore, and I know how not to push his buttons either.

4. Walk away mid-through argument. Let's call my guy friend "Ace," now Ace and his girl have been together for 5 years, and they are getting married next year, but they weren't always the happiest couple in the world, Ace told me that when him and his fiancee would have fights, his fiancee would throw her hands up in the air and walk away and not say a thing. Now I can understand her point of view, she's angry and so is he, but no one should walk away from a fight.
Ace: "I mean when she used to do that, I got even more pissed off, I swear after she'd pull that kinda sh** I would blow up her phone and tell her she'd could of at least said something before storming out like that."

So do you gals/guys have certain words, phrases, and actions that tick you off with your SO? If so do tell, what makes you mad?

Morningstar Foods

Recently I've been told I need to cut out meats from my diet due to health issues that I have along with my family's history. I like meat and fish so it's extremely hard to let go of it even though I know I need to, so I went online to look for other sources of "meat-like" tasting products. As I was perusing the pages that yahoo popped up on "meat substitutes" I food this product, Morningstar Farms, and it was funny because I thought it was regular meaty food product when I saw it in stores, boy was I wrong. So since I was curious I went to the store and bought some products from this company:

1. Chik'n

2. Mushroom Burgers

3. Bacon and Sausage

4. Hotdogs

My overall experience with eating their products, I give it a huge thumbs up! The taste isn't chalky like I was expecting it to be, and the taste was so similar to the taste of meat that it fooled my dad, he's a huge meat eater and he couldn't even tell the difference. So has anyone else tried products from this company? If so, how was your experience?
